Workshop - Wednesday, April 27, 2022 - 18 hours - English
Design new business models, products and services. Transform your business processes and your organization. Modernize the IT landscape, taking into account current technology trends. Please also anticipate future ones and make sure your architecture is future proof.
And do not forget to keep your stakeholders happy at the same time!
Transforming enterprises is tough and in this workshop, we will take a look at how to master that complexity in a systematic way.
Whether you want to implement a new business model, develop new (digital) products and services, or "just" modernize your internal IT - all these have one thing in common: they have a transformative character and can only be successful if, in addition to taking the "hard facts" such as business processes, organizational structures, and the IT landscape into account, you also account for the "soft facts" such as the people involved in the transformation and their emotions.
So transformation projects involve much more than a little project management and software development.
In order to turn high-level objectives into a concrete project, all relevant stakeholders must be identified and convinced. Many internal and external experts from a wide range of areas must be involved to ensure that a viable and fully accepted solution is created.
Ultimately, such a project can only be implemented on time and in time in high quality and with high target achievement if you keep the big picture in mind from the beginning without neglecting important details - and if you are prepared to re-adjust if the targets or prerequisites change or if a solution approach turns out to be unsuitable.
For many years, we have been supporting large and small companies in managing complex transformation projects, ensuring that creative ideas first become well-thought-out conceptual designs and then projects that are implemented on schedule and deliver results that delight shareholders, customers and employees.
In our workshop, you will learn a systematic, scalable approach to designing, planning, and executing transformation projects.
You will apply the approach to a concrete case study while getting to know modern, collaborative tools.
The approach will take you from initial ideas to a solid transformation plan, from strategic objectives to the bits and bytes of the IT landscape.
There is no "one size fits all" when it comes to transformation, and each approach must take into account your organization's current capabilities and maturity level. Thus, in addition to developing a tailored roadmap, you will also learn how to tailor an appropriate "transformation organization".
Who is This Workshop For?
Executives who are responsible for a transformation program
Program and project managers who are responsible for managing a transformation program
Product managers who are responsible for (re)designing product portfolios and products
In this 3-day workshop, you will work through a case study in small groups using modern collaboration tools such as Miro and Atlassian Jira.
You will learn about the following topics in detail:
How to make the objectives of an enterprise transformation tangible and align them with your stakeholders
How to design and visualize a suitable target architecture for your enterprise - from the business ecosystem to the IT landscape
How to organize workshops to design such architectures collaboratively with internal and external subject matter experts
How you can develop concrete plans for realizing this target architecture ("transformation roadmaps") and visualize them on multiple levels using appropriate tools
How you can use modern, collaborative tools such as Miro, Atlassian Jira, Ardoq and BizzDesign Enterprise Studio in an agile way.
This workshop will be held online in English in Microsoft Teams. The number of participants is limited to 10.
All participants will receive all workshop documents in PDF format.
During the workshop, participants will also receive free, time-limited licenses for the tools necessary to work on the case study.
The workshop runs over 3 days and starts on Wednesday, April 28 from 9 am CET to Friday, April 30 at 4 pm CET.
